Florida Panthers Restricting Tickets

Florida Panthers Restrict Ticket Sales to Prevent Maple Leafs Fans Takeover

Panthers Attempt to Keep Home-Ice Advantage in Playoff Series

Tickets for Games 3 and 4 Go on Sale May 2 with Restrictions

In an effort to maintain home-ice advantage in their second-round playoff series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Florida Panthers have implemented restrictions on ticket sales.

Tickets for Games 3 and 4, which will be played at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, will go on sale on May 2, 2023, at 8:54 a.m. ET. However, only Florida Panthers season ticket holders and residents of the state of Florida will be eligible to purchase tickets during the initial on-sale period.

The Panthers are taking this measure to prevent a large influx of Maple Leafs fans from purchasing tickets and potentially creating a hostile environment at their home arena. In the first round of the playoffs, the Panthers witnessed a large number of Maple Leafs fans attending their home games, leading to a significant amount of noise and disruption.

By restricting ticket sales, the Panthers hope to ensure that the majority of fans in attendance for Games 3 and 4 will be cheering for the home team. This will give the Panthers a crucial advantage as they look to take a commanding lead in the series.
