Rangers Earn Late 3-3 Draw with Celtic

Daizen Maeda and Matt ORiley Put Hoops 2-0 Up

In a thrilling Old Firm derby, Rangers fought back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw with Celtic on Wednesday night.

Daizen Maeda and Matt O'Riley put the Hoops 2-0 up in the first half, but Rangers rallied after the break with goals from Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, and Rabbi Matondo.

The draw means that Celtic extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to five points, but Rangers keep their chances of winning the title alive.

The match was played in front of a sell-out crowd at Ibrox Stadium, and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.

Celtic started the match brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute when Maeda headed home from close range.

O'Riley doubled Celtic's lead in the 28th minute with a stunning strike from outside the box.

Rangers pulled a goal back in the 53rd minute when Kent fired home from the edge of the area.

Morelos levelled the scores in the 68th minute with a header from close range.

And Matondo grabbed the equaliser in the 93rd minute with a stunning strike from 25 yards out.

The draw means that Rangers have now won just one of their last nine meetings with Celtic across all competitions.

However, the Gers remain in the title race, and they will be hoping to close the gap on Celtic in the coming weeks.
