2017 Oklahoma Softball Team Schedule
A Season of Excellence
Get ready for an exciting season of Oklahoma Softball!
The 2017 Oklahoma Sooners softball team is set to take the field and defend their national title. Coming off a historic 61-9 season and a perfect 17-1 record in the Big 12, the Sooners are poised for another successful year under the leadership of head coach Patty Gasso.
The team is led by a talented group of seniors, including All-American pitcher Paige Parker and All-Big 12 shortstop Shelby Pendley. They will be joined by a promising group of newcomers, including freshman pitcher Mariah Lopez and infielder Sydney Romero.
The Sooners will open their season on February 9th against Trinity Valley Community College. They will then travel to Hawaii to compete in the Hawaii Paradise Classic, where they will face some of the top teams in the country.
The highlight of the season will be the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City. The Sooners are hoping to make their fifth consecutive appearance in the WCWS and win their second national championship in three years.
